Building a Stronger DeSoto
DeSoto stands as a city defined by strong values, committed residents, and tremendous promise. My extensive leadership experience demonstrates that when communication systems are inadequate, they tend to fail. Building a stronger DeSoto requires thoughtful leadership, clear communication, and a shared commitment to the well-being of every neighborhood.
Responsible Growth
Growth and development must reflect careful planning and responsible leadership. Thoughtful development strengthens neighborhoods, supports local families, and creates opportunities for businesses while preserving the character and identity of the community. Having operated my health and wellness enterprise for over seven years, I achieved progress through a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, market niche, strategic development, and data analysis.
Community Engagement
As a district instructional coach, I acquired the skills to collaborate and communicate effectively with learning communities, stakeholders, and the administration, thereby ensuring a comprehensive plan that facilitated stakeholder buy-in and successful execution. Strong communities grow through active communication and collaboration. Open dialogue between residents, community organizations, and city leadership strengthens trust and encourages meaningful participation in the future of the city.
Public Safety
As the Safety and Security Director of the School District, it is imperative to assume responsibility for the school's safety, prioritize the judicious use of limited state-issued funds, and develop actionable plans for our students and staff during these critical times. Residents deserve to feel safe and secure in DeSoto. Wise stewardship of public resources must remain a priority, particularly in supporting the dedicated police officers and first responders who serve our community each day. Responsible leadership ensures that funding decisions strengthen public safety while reflecting the priorities and concerns of the entire community.
